A train hindered after entering contact with particles on the roadbed as it was pulling into a train station in Manhattan Sunday early morning, according to the MTA. Police said Harvard threw the debris onto the track, which was later identified as a metal tie plate or D plate. The swipe of the train caused massive chunks of metal to be peeled back on the train according to the incident report from police.
