Dr Embarek told a press conference the investigation had uncovered new information but had not dramatically changed the picture of the outbreak.

China reported the first COVID-19 case in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in late December 2019 and since then the disease has snowballed into a pandemic, affecting 108,822,502 people with 2,396,283 deaths worldwide.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says the number of reported cases of globally has declined for the fourth week in a row, and the number of deaths also fell for the second consecutive week.
