‘Whip Nae Nae’ Rapper Silento Arrested And Charged With Murdering His Cousin

The 23-year-old, whose real name is Ricky Lamar Hawk, was arrested Monday after police investigated the death of his 34-year-old cousin, Frederick Rooks, according to a statement from the DeKalb County Police Department.

Th Atlanta-area rapper known for the 2015 hit "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)" has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of his cousin, according to multiple reports. "Hawk is in the DeKalb County jail charged with murder".

Cops say they found Rooks shot to death inside a home on January 21. and 8 bullet casings were reportedly found at the scene.

The police statement said he is in the county jail, charged with murder in connection with the January 21 death of Frederick Rooks.

Hawk was previously arrested in August following a domestic disturbance, and he was subsequently arrested the following day after walking into a random house with a hatchet while reportedly searching for his girlfriend.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Hawk was being held without bond late Monday.
