Apple Will Reportedly Sign An Autonomous Car Deal With Hyundai In March

While it's interesting that Apple could be interested in making its own cars, we did express our skepticism in their efforts, namely because Apple has no knowledge when it comes to making cars, or at least no experience.

"As the discussion is at its early stage, nothing has been decided", the spokesperson was quoted as saying.

Hyundai last week said that it had been in conversations with Apple. The full annual capacity of the proposed plant would be 400,000 vehicles. Details that include the production location and capacity, along with a timeframe for signing the agreement and launching a "beta" version of the auto, were all removed.

At the moment, both Apple and Hyundai have no comment on this.

This fact is a big point that Apple pays much attention to. During collaboration with Apple, Hyundai Motor will be able to secure Apple's mobile phone operating system and contents. Hyundai had claimed to be in talks for manufacturing batteries for Apple. The report also mentioned that a "beta version" of the ‌Apple Car‌ could be released in 2022.

According to a report, for the last few days, it's been cited everywhere that Apple is planning to introduce a self-driving electric vehicle.

Shares in Hyundai Motor rose 14.6% in morning trade on Monday, while affiliate auto parts maker Hyundai Mobis shares rose 12.7% and Kia shares rose 9.1% versus a 2% gain in the wider market.
