General Motors, one of the world's oldest automaker and the third largest auto company in the world has unveiled its new logo, which, it states, is aimed at its commitment to produce and sell electric vehicles.
"There are moments in history when everything changes - inflection points".
"Unlike ever before, we have the solutions, capability, technology and scale to put everyone in an EV", Deborah Wahl, head of marketing at GM, said in a statement.
Last year, we had reported on the progress made by General Motors in the development of new EV technology. Kicking things off will be a digital campaign called "Everybody In", a series of ads created to introduce a new generation of buyers to the company's forthcoming line of EVs.

Lucasfilm Games is the new 'identity' for Star Wars games going forward
The former is far, far more likely, yet it does leave me wondering: who would I like to see behind a new Star Wars game? Of course, they also had their Star Wars games, TIE Fighter, Dark Forces, Super Star Wars and plenty more besides.
The General Motors Logo had not been changed since 1964 and after nearly 60 years, the company has chose to change its perspective and introduce its new identity with a new logo. In the future, more vehicles in GM's lineup will ride on Ultium as well, with 30 EVs expected to be launched by the end of 2025. The "m" in the logo is underlined to make the negative space look more like an electrical plug.
GM's Ultium platform uses a familiar skateboard design, which allows them to create many vehicles without starting from scratch each time. The lowercase "m" is a nod to past GM logos and visually represents the Ultium platform. The company further mentions that the logo redesigning team understood the gravity of the situation and the intention behind the company's new campaign.
"This was a project our team took so personally, not just for ourselves but for the 164,000 employees this logo represents".
"GM has the talent, technology and ambition to advance a safer world for all, help reduce emissions and accelerate toward our all-electric future", says Wahl. These include Malcolm Gladwell, author of "The Tipping Point", professional surfer and shark attack survivor Bethany Hamilton, fitness instructor Cody Rigsby and gamer Erin A. Simon. Ultium will also power the all-new Cadillac LYRIQ. We are now wondering what this means for the several automotive brands under the GM umbrella.
