Black Panther 2 Will Reportedly Begin Shooting This Summer

However, THR is now reporting that the MCU sequel is on track to commence production next July in Atlanta, and the shoot is expected to last six months.

A new report is revealing new details about the upcoming movie Black Panther 2, which was put on hold following the death of franchise star Chadwick Boseman.

Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett are also set to reprise their respective roles as Nakia, M'Baku and Queen Ramonda.

In wake the of Chadwick Boseman's passing, it is also being reported, and has been theorized by fans, that Letitia Wright's Shuri will have a much more prominent role in the follow-up, perhaps even taking on the mantle of Black Panther much like she does in the comics.

Rumors do offer that Black Panther 2 will involve Namor and the Atlanteans, but that is all speculation as of now.

‘Strawberry Moon’ to illuminate the night. Here’s what to know
"It is not going to be very visible, since it is a penumbral eclipse; which means only a diffused shadow will fall on the moon". According to The Old Farmer 's Almanac, this full moon was their warning to pick wild strawberry.

The filming of Black Panther 2 is one of many projects that has been in the works for Marvel.

We also have our first bit of casting news, as Narcos: Mexico actor Tenoch Huerta is in talks to come aboard as the new villain. "Our king, unfortunately, has died in real life, not just in fiction, and we are taking a little time to see how we return to history and what we do to honor this chapter of what has happened to us that was so unexpected, so painful, so awful, really". In production, sometimes two or three months are enough, and you say time has passed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel was sidelined after Boseman's sudden demise following which filmmaker Ryan Coogler and Marvel navigated their way through grief. We are taking our time to think how are we going to continue that story and what are we going to do to honor this chapter and this unexpected and awful death.

Black Panther II was initially scheduled to begin filming in March for release on May 6th 2022, although it will presumably now be pushed back until later in the year.
