Will Smith ends longtime feud with 'Fresh Prince' co-star

According to the outlet, the sit-down was the first time the two saw each other in 27 years.

But then, right around the 45-minute mark (and immediately following a genuinely moving tribute to the late James Avery, who played the show's indelible patriarch, Uncle Phil), this Fresh Prince reunion dispenses with rules and pleasantries to address the giant elephant in the room - the highly publicized fallout between Smith and Janet Hubert, who was unceremoniously replaced by Reid in her role as Aunt Viv in the show's final three seasons. Will Smith, Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks), Tatyana Ali (Ashley Banks), Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Joseph Marcell (Jeffrey, the butler), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Aunt Viv #2) and DJ Jazzy Jeff sit on a recreation of the Banks family mansion set, recounting audition stories and favorite scenes in honor of the 30 anniversary of the hit sitcom's premiere.

"We never really together publicly talk about Janet and what happened", Smith told the other cast members.

"So she agreed to sit down and have a conversation with me".

Hubert explained that during the third season of the show when she got pregnant with her son Elijah Isaac, there were "a lot of things going on in my life and Will's life as well".

Hubert said that Smith calling her hard in the public eye made securing work incredibly hard for her going forward. Home life was not good at all. I was no longer laughing, smiling, joking because there were things going on that nobody knew about. "Cast had no idea what was going on", she said.

Smith replied, "During that time of her pregnancy, I wasn't sensitive, wasn't perceptive".

She said: "I just wanted to know one thing: Why?"

"I would do things very differently".

The reunion episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has now aired, and everyone was shocked to see Will Smith and Janet Hubert make up.

Lil Wayne Faces Federal Charge Of Gun Possession By A Felon
Lil Wayne , who owns a home in Miami Beach, is expected to have his first appearance in federal court in Miami on December 11. Wayne , whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., has a felony gun conviction from NY back in 2009.

The 64-year-old actress also clarified reports that she was sacked, noting that execs actually offered her a bad deal in the third season. I was never fired, but the misconception was always put out there. "I was trapped - what could I do? They said, 'You've got two months and two weeks of work and you can not work anywhere else, '" Janet recalled. "Family disowned me. Hollywood disowned me".

Janet went on to tell Will that his words after her departure from Fresh Prince really hurt her and her career.

"I have children, I've been divorced, I've had a second marriage".

The actor explained his experience as a father and divorcee allowed him to "see now the level of pain and the level of struggle that it was for you just to show up every day".

Hubert said, "You took all that away from me with your words".

"Those words, calling a black woman "difficult" in Hollywood is the kiss of death. It's hard enough being a dark skinned Black woman in this business".

Additionally, Hubert apologized for slamming him in the press over the years, "I felt it was necessary for us to finally move forward, and I'm sorry that I have blasted you to pieces".
