OnePlus 9 could launch early

OnePlus is now switching gears to focus on its 2021 flagship portfolio.

We expected that OnePlus might release the OnePlus 9 around April, but now it seems the company is gearing up for an earlier launch. Releasing the OnePlus 9 in March also allows OnePlus to position its 2021 flagship against the likes of Samsung, Xiaomi, and others more effectively. As to why the company could be looking to move up its launch date, it has been speculated that the company wants to create a bigger gap between flagship launches, which in 2021 will most likely be the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9T. It was said that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be revealed in January or early February at the latest.

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 8T on October 14.

Shakespearean drama in Parliament over confidence vote slips between thriller and comedy
This comes just weeks after the Trudeau government managed to avoid a no-confidence vote and another possible election. The prime minister called the Conservative motion a confidence vote meaning Canadians could have headed to the polls.

Now, while this comes just about a week after the last OnePlus launch, it is still not the first report about the OnePlus 9. With the OnePlus 8T also sporting specs like a 120Hz display and a new 65W Warp Charge system, we can probably assume that those will trickle down to the OnePlus 9 as well at the very least.

Other rumoured OnePlus Nord N10 specifications include a Snapdragon 690 SoC for 5G support, 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, and a 6.49-inch FHD+ panel with a 90Hz refresh rate.

A report states that the flagship phone will be launched sooner than expected. OnePlus eschewed the 8T Pro and released just the regular OnePlus 8T this generation, and with the company increasingly focusing on carrier partnerships in the USA, it is possible we may just get one flagship series a year.
