Ravalli County reporting 10 new COVID-19 cases

The Sidney-Shelby County Health Department reported 12 new COVID-19 cases Thursday morning on its Facebook page.

The second-largest number of new cases as of Monday was among people in their 40s, with 54 new cases, up about 135 percent from the previous week's case count of 23. That breaks last week's record for the state when it recorded 488 new cases in a single day.

The Logan County Health District reported the county has 266 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 110 probable cases for a total of 376 cases.

The new cases come as Gov. Michele Lujan Grisham announced Tuesday she would renew public health restrictions and warned that more stringent rules could be imposed because of a rise in cases.

People ages 20 to 49 make up the majority of COVID-19 cases in Kendall County, according to health data.
