As expected, Borderlands 3 is getting a second season pass

These are not separate expansions, so it will be necessary to have a copy of Borderlands 3 to access these contents.

Season Pass 2 will include two all-new downloadable content add-ons - Designer's Cut and Director's Cut - plus brand new looks for all four Vault Hunters, to be revealed later this month.

In some not-so-surprising news, developer Gearbox Software has revealed that Borderlands 3 is getting even more content. This update will ass an extra skill tree for each vault hunter and a new mode called Arms Race, although specific gameplay details have not been revealed yet.

"Director's Cut" (launches in spring 2021) is still to be detailed. You can get full details on stream timings and such here. The primary update, the Designer's Cut, will give every player character an entirely different ability tree to investigate, and will present the long awaited Arms Race mode.

The Designer's Cut DLC will be out on 10th November. It all begins on October 20, when the new skill trees for Amara and FL4K are shown off.

This isn't almost as enticing as four brand new planets with additional story themes, but maybe it'll extend endgame play a bit, assisting the long term health of the game. The mysterious Arms Race mode ought to urge players to return to the game too; Gearbox has overemphasized how radically the mode will switch up the center interactivity fans are utilized to.

Quite conveniently, Season Pass 2 will also be available for purchase starting on 10th November, across PC, Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
