Donald Trump refuses to denounce QAnon at NBC town hall

Democratic presidential nominee Joseph R. Biden says there should be "zero discrimination" against children as young as 8 years old if he or she "decided I want to be transgender".

Guthrie opened her town hall, held at an outdoor venue in Miami, by questioning him repeatedly about when he last tested negative for COVID-19 before testing positive on October 1.

Concha called it the 11th Commandment: "Thou shall not bring up Hunter Biden in any shape or form, and the thought police over at Facebook and Twitter are making sure of that", he said.

If you watched last night's Trump Town Hall in Miami you may have been distracted, as many social media users were, by a woman behind the president wearing a red mask, who nodded at almost all the insane that came out of Trump's mouth.

"I don't get that", she said.

Trump repeatedly refused to denounce the unfounded conspiracy theory.

"You're the president", she said.

ReutersThe former Vice President was also leading Trump among independents, at 40 per cent versus 32 per cent.

"You're not like somebody's insane uncle and can just retweet whatever", Guthrie said.

"Has any media person ever challenged Biden like Savannah Guthrie is with Trump?" tweeted Fox News Channel host Laura Ingraham.

Asked about QAnon, a right wing conspiracy theory claiming that Democrats are part of a global pedophile ring, Trump said he couldn't disavow it because he didn't know enough about it. "There should be zero discrimination..." "That was an opinion of someone, and that was a retweet", Trump said.

The website's chief executive officer Seth Dillon offered his own lighthearted take soon after attracting Trump's attention, proudly declaring: "The Babylon Bee is the president's most trusted news source".

Trump himself fed into that perception, as he bashed Comcast and NBC at a rally earlier on Thursday in North Carolina, and then in a tweet in which he referred to the network news division as "fake news".

Thursday's scheduled debate was canceled after Trump, while he was being treated for COVID-19, said he would not agree to an event where he and Biden appeared remotely.
