Bruce Springsteen Announces New Album 'Letter to You' Recorded Live During Lockdown

While speaking in conversation with Hollywood legend Martin Scorsese previous year, Springsteen revealed he had recorded the album after a period of feeling uninspired. It will be released on October 23.

Bruce Springsteen has enlisted his trusted E Street Band for his 20th studio album - Letter To You - out October 23.

Letter to You also features three songs that Springsteen wrote in the early 1970s but never released: "If I Was the Priest", "Song for Orphans" and "Janey Needs a Shooter".

The album previously popped up on the websites of Amazon UK and Nail City Records, but the news has now been announced by The Boss and he's also released the title track. Give it a listen below.

Mixed by Bob Clearmountain and mastered by Bob Ludwig, "Letter To You" marked the first time Springsteen is performing with the E Street Band since "The River 2016" tour, which was named the year's top global tour by both Billboard and Pollstar. Springsteen will release a new rock album he recorded live in his New Jersey home studio with the E Street Band.

He described the album's five-day creation "one of the greatest recording experiences I've ever had".
