The DC Universe game we've all been waiting for

Game company Rocksteady Studios just confirmed today that a Suicide Squad Game is now in the works.

While everyone believed Rocksteady is working on a new Batman game, it turned out to be the opposite.

"Wait what?!? Superman being targeted by the Suicide Squad?".

No other details have been revealed about the game, but it is more than likely we will learn quite a bit more about it when DCFanDome arrives on August 22nd.

Clemson again No. 1 in preseason Coaches Poll
The Cougars haven't received votes in the Coaches Poll since October 6, 2019, prior to their 38-34 loss to Arizona State in Tempe. Last year, the Nittany Lions landed at No. 14 in the preseason Coaches' Poll and wound up at No. 9 by the season's end.

Rocksteady's tweeted image somewhat reveals the story's focus and its possible implications.

Later, he added that "the destruction tech used in Arkham Knight was also something that would've transitioned to their Superman game". Not confined to Batman's pesky "no killing" code, a Suicide Squad game has the potential to go darker and allow even more options for destruction and carnage, while potentially facing off against the do-gooders we usually play as. But on the topic of rumors and speculation, someone with some renown in that area did comment on what kind of game Rocksteady could be prepping.

Rocksteady posted a tweet seemingly teasing its new Suicide Squad game on the Rocksteady Studios Twitter on August 7, 2020. You can sense that this particular quibble with Marvel's Avengers will not be easily forgotten. We could be looking at the villain Bizarro, the "mirror image" Superman who has at times taken on an antihero role. Not unlike the Spider-Man game for PlayStation 4, those games really tapped into letting players feel like you're Batman.

At any rate, and as stated earlier, you probably shouldn't expect much news about this game to trickle out in the days ahead. Perhaps something concrete about it will surface in the lead up to DC FanDome as well. Until then, keep it here for more updates on Rocksteady's next release.
