Prince Andrew 'lobbied U.S. government' on behalf of paedophile Epstein

Maxwell, 58, is accused of helping Epstein recruit and abuse underage girls, including one as young as 14, in London and the United States during the 1990s. Giuffre's testimony in 2015 claims that Ghislaine Maxwell had sex with under aged girls virtually every day.

She claims it was done at Epstein and Maxwell's direction, and included "the owner of a large hotel chain" and a "foreign president" who she described as "Spanish" and in his 40s.

Epstein was found dead of an apparent suicide in his NY jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial. "Being a woman, it's disgusting", Giuffre said.

Maxwell is now battling prosecutors in her criminal case over the scope of a protective order meant to protect her right to a fair trial while ensuring the privacy of her accusers.

Maxwell was arrested earlier this month by federal authorities on charges that she conspired with Epstein to recruit and abuse minors. Victims say they were farmed out to some of Epstein's wealthy associates.

Lawyers for the pair, Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, wrote: '(They are) seeking documents regarding Epstein's lobbying efforts to persuade the government to give him a favorable plea arrangement, including efforts on his behalf by Prince Andrew and former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz.

"Deciding to participate in or contribute to a criminal investigation or prosecution is a far different matter than simply making a public statement "relating to" Ms Maxwell or Jeffrey Epstein, particularly since such a statement might have occurred decades ago and have no relevance to the charges in this case".

Giuffre has recounted how she had a job at 16 handing out towels in a spa locker room at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida before Maxwell lured her to work as a masseuse for Epstein, when he began sexually assaulting her.

It was also revealed that Kim worries her husband has hit rock bottom after he declared that he'd already asked her for a divorce. Kim Kardashian has posted a loving family photo on Instagram following reports she was in "crisis talks" to save her marriage.

Giuffre spoke to "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King in July, and told her "you couldn't say no" to Epstein and Maxwell from her position because "you're afraid for your life".

Responding to a Maxwell email a few days later, Epstein wrote: "You have done nothing wrong and I (would) urge you to start acting like it".

Dershowitz has repeatedly denied these allegations.

The emails were among dozens of documents unsealed late Thursday relating to a defamation lawsuit filed by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre against Maxwell in 2015.

The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals issued the order after last-ditch scrambles by Maxwell to keep potentially embarrassing information, which her lawyer said could make it "difficult if not impossible" to find an impartial jury, out of the public eye.

Maxwell denied the allegations during her deposition in the case in 2016, calling Giuffre an "absolute liar". She faces six counts, including perjury, and up to 35 years in prison if convicted.

Giuffre also claims in her deposition that she rode in a helicopter that Maxwell piloted to Epstein's private island in the Caribbean "plenty of times".

One email, sent from Epstein's email address but written in Maxwell's voice, appeared to be a draft statement or set of talking points for Maxwell to use in defending herself.
