Four More COVID-19 Cases in Mason County

Statistics show that of the now active cases, 34% are community spread, 31% are close contacts to a confirmed case; 21% are travel-related and the origination of 14% of the cases are still pending.

Clark County Public Health reported another death this morning along with 22 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Collin County has confirmed the death of a 71-year-old Plano man. This brings the total to One hundred sixty-six (166) positive cases in Mason County.

McLean County is part of a region that covers much of west central IL that has experienced a recent rise in positivity and hospitalization rates.

"Due to Mason County being a small community, location data of positive cases will not be released to reduce the possibility of patient identification and to protect personal health information".

According to the Saline County Health Department, with the new cases the total for the county is now 345, with 76 cases currently active.

Of the new cases, a female and a male in their teens, two males in their 30s, and a male in his 50s all report having contact with persons testing positive for COVID-19.

McLean County's positivity rate has trended downward over the last several weeks.

As of Friday, more than 32,000 people had been tested for the disease. Now 35% of medical/surgical beds are available and 49% of ICU beds.
