Yet another jump in Kane County COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

As of Wednesday, July 29, 2020, the average age of those testing positive for COVID-19 is 31.7 years old.

A 10th person has died from COVID-19 in Montgomery County, and we have two new hospitalizations. There have been 74 cumulative positive cases, 52 recoveries, and one death in the county. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from July 21 - July 27 remained flat at 3.8%. That brings the total number of deaths to 128. No Washington County cases are hospitalized.

Jackson County Public Health stressed the importance of people to taking preventative action to help prevent and slow the spread of COVID-19 - wearing a mask, practicing physical distancing, washing hands regularly, and frequently disinfecting surfaces that are touched often.

The total for the county is now 334, with 65 cases that are actively being monitored by the Health Department, 264 that have recovered.

"Since Monday, we have seen an increase in the number of cases across all of the counties we serve - 7 in Saunders County, 6 in Washington County and 6 in Dodge County", said Terra Uhing, executive director of Three Rivers Public Health Department". Twenty people remain isolated at home, and 49 have recovered.
