Manchester City close to snapping up star winger Ferran Torres

Manchester City have included hard to achieve performance-based add-ons in an agreement with Valencia for Ferran Torres.

Sport understands the 20-year-old Spaniard is keen on a move to Etihad Stadium.

Despite Bournemouth's relegation to the Championship, Ake's reputation has soared since he left Chelsea in 2017.

Ferran's contract with Valencia was said to contain a €100m release clause, but he had stalled on signing fresh terms, meaning Los Che were never likely to hold out for such a fee given his deal was due to expire next year.

Manchester City reached an agreement with Bournemouth to sign centre-back Nathan Ake on Thursday.

City never looked settled and the weakness played a crucial role in Liverpool ending their two-year reign as Premier League winners.

City will pay €23million plus add-ons for the Spain U-21 winger.

City were looking for a new winger after Germany global Leroy Sane left for Bayern Munich in a deal worth an initial €49m (£45m/$58m).

"We have less time than ever, so people will have to move fast".

"Begiristain also said it was possible City will play a friendly behind closed doors this weekend to prepare for the Champions League last-16 second leg against Real Madrid on 7 August".
