Gabe Newell believes Xbox Series X is better than PS5

Gamers and the press are now focused on finding out how good the games look on the next-gen consoles, but there's also the promise of some novel new features being intrdocued with the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

As we recently learned, Valve co-founder, Gabe Newell, is now hunkered down in New Zealand while the COVID-19 situation gets sorted out in the United States. Both? While some might be deciding which console to get (assuming they can't buy both), Valve boss Gabe Newell has already cast his vote, and he's on Team Microsoft!

Face masks in OH to be required
OH joins dozens of other states in implementing face mask requirements in response to increasing cases of COVID-19. The Republican governor said Wednesday that more counties are seeing an increasing number of cases.

Phil Spencer has said that news on backwards compatibility for Xbox Series X should be coming in August, sparking speculation that the previously-rumoured August Xbox event (and possible Xbox Series S reveal) event is legitimate. After some laughs were had by the audience, Newell expanded a bit more with, "I don't have a stake in that race". If your purchasing decision is influenced by super-rich bosses of gaming companies, then a vote has been cast in the Xbox Series X's favor.

Of course, in terms of raw performance, the Xbox Series X is more powerful than the PlayStation 5, and Microsoft's next-gen console is somewhat more like a PC in certain aspects, so it makes sense why Newell would pick the Series X over the PS5. That said, it's all a matter of preference, no?
