Walmart is facing backlash for selling an 'All Lives Matter' T-shirt online

A T-shirt displaying an "All Lives Matter" slogan on Walmart Canada's website appears to have been taken down after backlash this week.

The t-shirt is for sale on Walmart Marketplace, an Amazon-style service that allows approved third-parties to sell products on the Walmart website. "We promote listening, seeking to understand and embracing individual differences", Adam Grachnik, Walmart Canada's director of corporate affairs, said in a statement.

Walmart added it was reviewing items in its "third-party marketplace" with variations of the phrase "lives matter" to ensure compliance with "terms and conditions".

Many Twitter users are drawing attention to the problematic t-shirt online and asking for an explanation from Walmart Canada.

As of Thursday afternoon, "All Lives Matter" shirts were no longer visible on the Walmart Canada website.

Toles rose from the low minors to the majors in just months and became a postseason star for the Dodgers in 2016. According to a police report, Toles was asked several times to vacate the area but refused to do so.

Several All Lives Matter t-shirts are additionally out there on Walmart's US website, being offered by an organization referred to as Old Glory.

Early this month, the Bentonville, Ark. -based chain announced a $100 million commitment toward establishing a new center on racial equity with philanthropic initiatives in four key areas: finance, health care, education and criminal justice. This item is sold and shipped by a third party seller.

"The doors of Walmart are open to everyone", the company said.

Walmart is being criticised for selling a T-shirt with the words "All Lives Matter". In December, Walmart Canada apologized for making a Christmas sweater available with an apparent drug reference. In a disclaimer on the product's page, the company wrote, "Manufacturers, suppliers and others provide what you see here, and we have not verified it". "We apologize for any unintended offence this may have caused".
